In a first for the film industry, the official teaser one-sheet of “I’m Your Man,” an upcoming film from Bleecker Street Media, was turned into an NFT for a sweepstakes giveaway on digital collectibles marketplace platform Chronicle. The NFT will be the first issued on the new Chronicle marketplace.
Mike Cosentino pacts with Fremantle
Mike Cosentino’s recently launched media and content company CosMediaInc, has inked a distribution deal with Fremantle with the goal of taking more Canadian productions into the international marketplace.
Under the terms of the deal, CosMediaInc will “work with Fremantle to enhance and maximize Fremantle’s mandate to partner with leading scripted and non-scripted Canadian producers whose production greenlights domestically have international ambitions,” according to a release.
The announcement comes less than a week after Cosentino, the former president of content and programming at Bell Media, revealed he would act as a strategic advisor to Toronto-based Mogul Productions through CosMediaInc, which officially launched in the spring following Cosentino’s departure from Bell Media in January.
An exciting new chapter in the history books unfold as movie fans have voted the first-ever movie to be produced based on their votes. Mogul Productions‘ aim of decentralizing the film industry is off to a bright start with ‘Terminal Station’ winning the voting war on Mogul’s pioneering block-chain voting system. This will be the second movie to be financed by the Mogul’s DeFi platform.
$STARS token holders were at a pedestal to vote for the movie of their choice amongst the three movies in the showcase. Led by producers Binh Dang, Philip Goldfine, and Keoni Waxman, Terminal Station, a movie based on a Mafia’s hit-man, wins the voting contest by an astounding margin.
