Mogul Monthly Wrap August 2024: Mogul Up

August 2024 will go down as the start of when we began to Mogul Up. It was a critical month that served as the official launch of the 2024 campaign road map, with City of Dreams launching its No Child In Chains collectible on Mogul’s platform.

Having released in theaters worldwide on August 30th, City of Dreams proved the Mogul model after years of measured effort. The film went from script to screen after an initial early investment helped fulfill the vision the City of Dreams team had, culminating in the gripping thriller currently raising awareness about child slavery in theaters around the world.

But City of Dreams isn’t just about making a movie—it’s about making a difference. As part of efforts to go beyond raising awareness, City of Dreams announced a strategic partnership with A21, a non profit organization whose work helps combat human trafficking.

With No Child In Chains serving as phase one of the City of Dreams campaign, Mogul is grateful to be involved in raising money for an organization like A21 and any other philanthropic partners who join this important effort.

As it relates to partnerships, Mogul remains committed to expanding its reach via collaborations across both the Web3 and entertainment worlds.

August was a month that saw a handful of new partners announced, with HeLa Labs being the one Mogul closed the month out with.

The partnership will introduce Mogul Productions to HeLa’s user base of its fiat-backed layer 1 blockchain. Known for its modularity and flexibility, HeLa’s platform streamlines the process for companies eager to innovate.

As September unfolds, expect even more thrilling announcements and campaign launches.

Mogul’s first campaign in the coming month also happens to be the first music project on the platform. Bahamian rapper, Rello Ranzano will be bringing his music to the blockchain with his upcoming album, Can’t Escape The Allure.

Coming off an August 31st performance in Nassau opening for Lil Durk, Ranzano is making sure he comes correct for Mogul’s first ever music focused campaign.

While the Can’t Escape The Allure campaign details can be found here, the first phase of the campaign will be the release of the single, “Fever”, alongside five exclusive opportunities to become a producer of the album.

Those who purchase a Producer mint, will not only be listed as a producer on Can’t Escape The Allure, they’ll also get everything from the other campaign packages. Obviously that includes a deluxe version of the album, with tracks only available via Mogul.

Beyond new ground being paved with Mogul’s expansion into music, September will also see the delivery of the campaign for the action thriller, Clutch, as well as the launch of the campaign for the samurai epic, Lady Samurai.

It’s only up from here, and there’s still a lot to deliver for 2024, which ends in a few short months. So let’s make sure we Mogul Up together and push into 2025 with proper momentum.

All Empires Begin with a Dream

July for Mogul Productions has been one of its busiest months, but it’s only the beginning as our Film3 Road Map has officially kicked off with the launch of the City of Dreams campaign.

It was recently announced that those who participate in the No Child In Chains NFT mint on August 7th will also unlock the ability to claim a bonus NFT featuring exclusive scene art from City of Dreams.

The Dreamer NFT for City of Dreams will also be the first Mogul NFT to introduce our rarity system, which will play a key role in the future of all Mogul Film3 campaign NFTs. The rarities consist of Producer, Visionary, and Mogul traits, with the Mogul rarity being the rarest and most legendary of them all.

The City of Dreams campaign isn’t just raising funds to raise awareness around child labor trafficking, but it’s also laying the foundation for the Mogul Empire leaderboard and ranking system. Mogul Empire will connect all Mogul Film3 campaigns, while also creating a framework that ensures Mogul campaign NFTs have value on the secondary market through a gamified format.

A key piece of the overall Mogul ecosystem is, of course, the $MOGUL token itself, which launched on July 18th.

In advance of our $MOGUL token launch, we saw multiple launchpads sellout within 24 hours of going live, a sign that there’s genuine interest in the Film3 revolution Mogul is building.

Despite some issues beyond our control that impacted the launch, Mogul’s short and long term plans remain unaffected.

We are confident that as the big picture vision comes into focus, and as more of the Film3 Campaign road map gets delivered, excitement and interest will continue to build, which will positively impact the token and all things Mogul.

One of the upcoming campaigns, focused on a project led by our Head of Film Development, Randy Charach, recently got a little press ahead of its upcoming Fall 2024 release.

You can read it here:

The campaign to support Clutch will roll out in September 2024. More details will be available once it’s officially announced.

Being busy is a good problem to have, but only if what’s keeping you busy is positive work. Fortunately at Mogul there’s plenty to be excited about as it relates to the future. The current campaign road map is rich and diverse, featuring films that exist within a nice variety of genres.

This diversity of films only serves to enhance what’s possible for the campaigns that support them, meaning Mogul supporters will be able to enjoy a wide variety of rewards and/or experiences.

So while July was hectic, buckle up because the next few months are going to be a wild ride (Clutch pun intended).

Monthly Wrap: From Stars to Moguls

With the upcoming token migration from $STARS to $MOGUL, there’s a lot to be excited about, not just as it relates to the Web3 aspect of Mogul Productions but also on the film and entertainment front.

And we’ll get to all of that soon enough, but a little reflection on what led up to the decision to migrate is helpful context for current and future holders.

While we always wanted to have a Mogul branded token in addition to $STARS, we realized after careful deliberation that it would be best to have one token serving as the primary coin for the overall Mogul community ecosystem.

Additionally, the Bitmart hack that essentially locked up 40 million $STARS after Bitmart wallets were compromised, has complicated the ability to develop the token as we had planned.

This was ultimately why we decided it was best for our community to migrate to $MOGUL and focus on a fresh start. This will allow us to ensure the best possible reward structure, but most importantly to ensure the health of the overall Mogul ecosystem.

It’s a decision that prioritizes the long term interests of the company and community, and one we think most will be happy with once we roll out more details about migration on June 4th, in addition to more film projects, partnerships, and of course, perks for holders.

Which leads nicely into some other news as it relates to our revamped leadership team, who we are confident bring the kind of experience and enthusiasm that will allow Mogul Productions to become a leader in the film industry for years to come.

We’re thrilled to have Matt Gigault as our new CEO. With a stellar finance background and a knack for innovation, Matt is a fantastic choice to oversee Mogul as it begins this busy next phase of our journey.

Matt is passionate about film and envisions a future where blockchain is integral to every facet of filmmaking. He believes Mogul Productions has the ability to create opportunities for creators at all points in their career, while also creating more immersive experiences for film enthusiasts and the Mogul community.

As for another upgrade to the team, and with James Pratt’s continued rise in Hollywood, we are honored that he has chosen to step up as Head of Production for Mogul.

James is an award-winning actor and director–and as a bonus fun fact, a former four-time Australian Real Estate Auctioneer of the Year winner. He is the recipient of various international film awards including Best Actor at the Los Angeles Film Awards, Best Director at the 2022 Cannes Film Awards, and Best Actor at the 2022 Beyond Hollywood International Film Festival.

Having someone like James on the Mogul team has allowed for greater synergy between Mogul and the broader entertainment industry, and him taking on a bigger role will only enhance that.

Given what’s on deck project wise, the timing of this shift couldn’t have come at a better time and we are extremely excited to begin rolling out more details about what’s being built over the next couple months.

Fortunately, you don’t have to wait too long to learn about one project Mogul Productions is involved with. In fact, all you have to do is head over to our blog to read our introductory post about “Lady Samurai”, a film project by Koji Steven Sakai that we are extremely excited to be helping secure initial funding for.

As for the migration from $STARS to $MOGUL, we will be dropping a post on June 4th detailing the Swap Mechanics, including the exchange ratio. We will also be providing the date for when the migration goes live.

In the meantime, make sure you are eligible for our massive $10,000 in $MOGUL giveaway by reading the contest rules here:
