Mogul Development Update #8 

The User Interface (UI) at Mogul’s NFT Marketplace is constantly adapting to make the User Experience  (UX) more enjoyable when they visit.

“User Interface” (UI) is the series of screens, pages, and visual elements that enable a person to interact with a product or service.  “User Experience” (UX) is defined as the interaction and experience users have with a company’s products and services. 

New features mentioned in previous Development updates, within the Mogul Marketplace, is making the UI and UX  robost.  This UI and UX update goes further into how artists and users interact with each other on the NFT platform.  ‍

A number of backend features that were part of the legacy code from the old platform is being brought to a higher standard.  As Mogul is starting to scale into more drops and more users, the develppment needs to make ensure the current platfrorm performance can hadle the increaed traffic including the number of drops once staking and voting are reintroduced.  

For NFT Artists,

• Artists can make NFTs internally and build full collections.  
• Artists can take this interface, put in all their details and just mint.
• NFT drops can have different tiers.  
• NFTs can utilize Unlockable content.  
• Artists can review the entire project.  There will be a Preview page showing what the NFT drop will look like before going live.
• Built in community building processes are built into the User Interface (UI)

Simply fill in information on the User Interface to start the process.  The interface will take it from there to guide artists through the process.  Mogul’s UI  takes the NFT public sales process from the start of the asset build right to the very end. 

Artists can make and schedule their own NFT drops.‍

A drop refers to the exact date, time, and minting price of the NFT.  

Typical NFTs can include the following and so much more.

• Collectible items.
• Film memorabilia
• Artwork.
• Event tickets.
• Music and media.
• Gaming.
• Big Sports Moments.
• Virtual Fashion.
• Real-world assets.

User friendly

The new direction is to make NFTs public sales process, in PFP (profile picture) and other collection standards, fully optimized and much easier to navigate through.   

The new Mogul NFL platform will combine both  ETH and BSC on the same display.

For PFP style collectionism, buyers directly mint NFTs at the time of the sale. It’s a more advanced product from previous launchpad standards.

With a NFT showcase page, new collections are listed and include featured sections for upcoming drops. 

Buyers and inquisitors can go directly to the landing page which is created and launched by the artists on the Mogul platform.  It will allow fans and collectors to buy the NFTs right then and there.

Drops can be to regular auctions, or lazy drops.  

Lazy minting allows the minting process to be pushed forward until someone actually purchases a token.

Mogul Development Update #6  

The Mogul development team is hard at work assembling the newest features for Mogul’s NFT Marketplace and ecosystem.  Ten major features have been or are about to be onboarded. A new feature will be reviewed each week over the course of ten weeks.  

Mogul is where movies meet blockchain. Mogul partners with some of the biggest names in entertainment, helping artists of all sorts connect with their most loyal fans on different levels, while giving them innovative ways to engage with their favorite performers.  

In Development Update #4, we peeked inside Mogul’s upgrades to automated NFT minting. In Development Update #5, we explored the Marketplace and Email Notifications.

This time we look at the NFT Showcase Page.

Mogul collects and displays these pages for users to be able to get a view of all NFT collections past, future, and present. Users can browse through a few featured collections or look through existing and past collections.

The Mogul Productions marketplace currently supports dedicated Showcase pages that provide users all the information they need about a NFT drop. 

Main Display

Collections that have Showcase pages will display useful information pertaining to the  drop.  These include:

• Title
• Short Description
• Featured Image
• Social Media Links
• Collection Description
• Number of NFTs sold

Additional Modules

In addition, the Mogul Marketplace supports a number of different modules which can be added for even more information about the drop. These modules will display or be hidden based on if the information was provided. 

• Featured – Rotating carousel that can display images and videos of all aspect ratios

• Video or graphic page to grab people’s attention 

• Launchpad Description – Large text formattable sections for additional text and content

• Artists/Team Members – Image and text to showcase people involved in the project

• Roadmap – Staggered timeline display to show long term goal/milestones

• Bottom banner – Bottom Image area to end off the page
• Link to the Discord channel.  Discord is very popular for NFT drops. It  gives NFT artists and creators the ability to get personal with like-minded community members rather than spamming links at them. They are able to foster the community in ways they see fit.  Host discussions, live stream events, bring new ideas to life, set up calls as well as promote their project.

Mogul Development Update #7   

An interface is generally a surface regarded as the common boundary of two bodies, spaces, or phases.  

In this case we are talking about interfacing the Mogul NFT Marketplace with specific NFT Collections or projects.  The Mogul NFT interface for public drops, whether they be specific partnership arrangements or automated public sales will link to a landing page with a banner and artist information section.  NFT drops often have “Showcase” pages as well. 

Collectors, fans and inquirers can go directly to the landing page  where they can gather more information about specific NFT or DeFi projects.  The landing page is created and launched by the artists, or the Mogul production team, depending on the project arrangement. It will allow fans and collectors to buy the NFTs right then and there.  

General information should…

• include a graphic banner that characterizes the NFT drop.  
• allow fans to view the entire collection on either ETH or BSC

• A graphic or video is generally included for each NFT available for minting, rebuy or auctions

• Each NFT detail page should allow fans and collectors to buy the NFTs right then and there.

• Buyers, inquisitors and collectors can view the transaction history

Mogul Development Update #1

The Mogul development team is hard at work assembling the newest set of features for the Mogul Productions NFT Marketplace and ecosystem.  Ten major features have come on board. Each one will be reviewed over the course of ten weeks.

So far, NFTs have barely scratched the surface when it comes to their potential.  Most NFTs exist as static items on the blockchain available for buying and selling on digital marketplaces. 

Yet, NFTs have enormous creative potential, which artists and collectors can harness to diversify their functionalities. Unlockable content is one such crucial element that can add value and infuse creativity into NFTs, thus enhancing the overall trading experience. 

Ownership should come with perks.  The same goes for NFTs.  Fun bonuses are a strong enticement when buying NFTs.   Unlockable NFTs are often similar to opening bonus features on different digital media platforms.  Smart contracts attached to NFTs give users the right to particular pieces of intellectual property which differ from piece to piece. 

Unlockable content may include high-resolution images, video clippings, redeemable coupons, or links to exclusive websites. It can also include physical items like signed merchandise, tickets, or prints of digital artwork.

Filmmakers can include video clips and other surprises in NFTs. 

When a cinema enthusiast buys a collector’s edition, for example, they can chance upon an unlockable NFT with exclusive rewards. Such rewards may include deleted movie scenes, special interviews with the film crew, footage from movie sets, and alternative endings. It can also include photographs and signed merchandise from the cast and crew. 

Picture a NFT digital poster art from a soon-to-be-released movie.  One month later, it unlocks two tickets to the red carpet premiere including a meet and greet with the director and stars.  

Three months later, it provides bonus material like deleted scenes or bloopers which only the NFT owner can see.  One year later, only specific NFT owners can purchase certain film memorabilia from other movies in production as a special thank you for supporting them.

Unlockable NFTs can also include audio files, like songs from musicians. 

While releasing an album through NFTs, musicians can steganographically incorporate exclusive music tracks as unlockables. The mystery will bolster the craze around the album’s release, with every fan wanting access to those rare tracks. Musicians can further experiment with unlockables for releasing their practice tracks, rejected song versions, and more. 

Picture a NFT digital art of a band which also becomes a concert ticket.  Once in, the owner is eligible for upgrades to the front row and backstage passes to hang with the band.  The NFT’s smart contract provides recordings of three live songs from that specific concert.  A year later, only owners of the band’s NFT concert tickets can purchase certain fan material from the band as a special thank you for supporting them on the road.

The artist can design a smart contract where a handful of buyers will get additional ownership rights of rare artworks. Unlockables can also include an email link with an authenticity certificate or a physical copy of the artwork.

Mogul Development Update #2

The Mogul development team is as always hard at work assembling the newest features for the Mogul NFT Marketplace and ecosystem.  Let’s peek inside a few of Mogul’s new and upcoming upgrades to the NFT Marketplace experience.

NFT and blockchain marketplaces in general have an enormous impact on the Technology Age.  Marketplaces are critical elements of the entire decentralized token ecosystem that incentivizes data to be collected, shared and used.

Mogul’s Marketplace V3 is the latest iteration of its Internet technology developed to deliver a faster and more focused user experience. 

Performance Upgrades 

Mogul uses lazy loading, which is to only load components that are needed. Fans who enjoyed previous features will enjoy an even better user experience, with higher performance optimization.  

Search Filters

With multiple exciting NFT drops on Mogul’s platform  scheduled for each month from the film and entertainment industry, the marketplace catalog is going to get a lot bigger. This means a lot of decentralized digital data needs to be brought into search engine algorithms faster for users to enjoy the experience.  Search filters will need to be quick and robust.
